The need for reinventing a company is changing, there is big evidence for that. In the past the need 75 years, then 15 years and now research conclude a reinvention is required even 3 years. On top of that it is evident that you have to change or reinvent before the product start declining, If the product is already in declining mode, it Is even more difficult, as the available budget will be less, the mood is more to the negative side. The slogan that says: If it ain´t broke, do not fix it! Is a proverb from the past and has not the same value anymore. The challenge is often that the human mind is not prepared to give up what is working well, for many years.
